Our Seminarian visits our council
Ryan Foley is a young man from Dumont, NJ who is a seminarian at the St. Pius X seminary in Maryland. For the last 2 years we have supported him financially through the Knights of Columbus seminarian support program (RSVP).
Ryan is in his 3rd year in the seminary and was able to join us at our June 27 meeting, where he thanked us for his support and gave a talk/homily on the Immaculate Conception and the power of the Rosary.
Support for Ryan was recommended to the council by Brother Knight Chris Giancarlo of Sacred Heart.
Support for vocations is one of the most important things we do as a council, and brings our work on our events to fruition. Every month the back cover of Columbia Magazine features a person pursuing their religious vocation.
We pray that Ryan continues his development successfully and look forward to his ordination to the priesthood.
A Higher Purpose
Keep the faith alive by supporting our seminarians and postulants. As the strong right arm of the church, the Knights of Columbus are committed to providing moral, financial and spiritual support to future priests and religious at all stages of their formation.
Our Council was pleased to help once again financially sponsoring an individual attending Seminary in the amount of $1,000. Through the Refund Support Vocations Program. Thanks, and appreciation go to Ryan Foley for his persistence and efforts. Ryan is currently attending St. Thomas Seminary in Dillwyn Virginia. We are optimistic that Ryan will be able to attend one of our upcoming meetings in May or June so we can have the opportunity to meet him.
Thanks go to Chris Giancarlo and Dr. Mike Giuliano for assisting with his sponsorship.
