Council Memorial Mass and Founders Day Celebration @ Immaculate Conception Church Hall
Mar 29 @ 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Council Memorial Mass and Founders Day Celebration @ Immaculate Conception Church Hall | Norwood | New Jersey | United States

Families and Friends Come and Join Us

Our annual Memorial Mass for deceased Knights and family and friends of the Council will be on MARCH 29, 7:30 PM, at Immaculate Conception.  Brother Knight, Rev. Dheo Layosa, pastor of Immaculate Conception, will celebrate the Mass.  While we will commemorate the lives of all brothers who have gone to eternal rest before us, we will have a roll call for those who have passed since our previous Memorial Mass. We invite everyone to join us and be a part of this celebration.

As we read in 1 John 3:14-16:

We know that we have passed from death to
life because we love our brothers. Whoever does not
love remains in death. Everyone who hates his brother
is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has
eternal life remaining in him. The way we came to
know love was that he laid down his life for us; so we
ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

After Mass, Knights and families are invited to join the council at our ‘Founders Day’ reception in the Church Hall.

We will have a ‘Fraternal Night’ type gathering on December 15, 2023 at St. Anthony, beginning at 7PM.  Agenda to follow.

Tickets for our 50-50 have been mailed or emailed  that will be drawn that night.   Since we have not been able to hold our usual fundraising events, the raffle is very important to us financially.  I hope you will participate.  You may buy the tickets yourself and sell them to friends and family.  If you choose not to participate in the 50-50, I hope you will consider a donation to the council in support of the event.

Day of Reflection
on the Month of the Rosary
at St. Pius X
October 7

You may have heard a little about Jubilee 2025.

When we were in Portugal for World Youth Day, Pope Francis invited us to prepare for the great Jubilee Year of 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope. The flame of that call is still in us and in response, our parish, together with the Archdiocese, is preparing for this celebration.

Our first event in this Year of Prayer, with the Archdiocesan Office for Evangelization, is to host the 2024 Eucharistic Rosary Congress on the Feast of the Holy Rosary, October 7th. See below to view the particulars and to sign up for all or part of the day.

The day consists of Mass, Eucharistic Adoration with guided prayer, recitation of the Rosary throughout the day, and two talks. (conferences). You may attend all or part, and we would encourage you to invite family and friends from other parishes. Please sign up as it will help us determine the resources we need.

The Morning talk explores the Rosary, a beloved practice in the Catholic faith. Discover its rich history and the spiritual virtues it represents. Learn how the Rosary has been a powerful tool for prayer, meditation, and growing closer to God. Join us to celebrate and deepen your understanding of this treasured tradition.

In the Evening Talk – “Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope” we will delve into the history and significance of the Jubilee Year, its spiritual implications, and how it serves as a beacon of hope for Christians. We will discuss how this special time encourages renewal, reflection, and a deeper connection with our faith.

Continue to visit our website, app, and bulletin for the most up to date information regarding the Year of Prayer and the Jubilee Year and their events. Should you have any questions, contact us at the Parish Office.
