2023 Council Awards Dinner @ St.Anthony Church Parish Hall
Dec 15 @ 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

We will have a ‘Fraternal Night’ type gathering on December 15, 2023 at St. Anthony, beginning at 7PM.  Agenda to follow.

At our gathering we will have a brief prayer service, present council awards for ‘Knight of the Year’, ‘Family of the Year’, and any special recognition awards.  We will have excellent food from La Casa Formoso.

Tickets for our 50-50 have been mailed or emailed  that will be drawn that night.   Since we have not been able to hold our usual fundraising events, the raffle is very important to us financially.  I hope you will participate.  You may buy the tickets yourself and sell them to friends and family.  If you choose not to participate in the 50-50, I hope you will consider a donation to the council in support of the event.

All checks should be made out to ‘KOFC 9021’ and returned with raffle ticket stubs by our council meeting on Dec 12 to:

Day of Reflection
on the Month of the Rosary
at St. Pius X
October 7

You may have heard a little about Jubilee 2025.

When we were in Portugal for World Youth Day, Pope Francis invited us to prepare for the great Jubilee Year of 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope. The flame of that call is still in us and in response, our parish, together with the Archdiocese, is preparing for this celebration.

Our first event in this Year of Prayer, with the Archdiocesan Office for Evangelization, is to host the 2024 Eucharistic Rosary Congress on the Feast of the Holy Rosary, October 7th. See below to view the particulars and to sign up for all or part of the day.

The day consists of Mass, Eucharistic Adoration with guided prayer, recitation of the Rosary throughout the day, and two talks. (conferences). You may attend all or part, and we would encourage you to invite family and friends from other parishes. Please sign up as it will help us determine the resources we need.

The Morning talk explores the Rosary, a beloved practice in the Catholic faith. Discover its rich history and the spiritual virtues it represents. Learn how the Rosary has been a powerful tool for prayer, meditation, and growing closer to God. Join us to celebrate and deepen your understanding of this treasured tradition.

In the Evening Talk – “Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope” we will delve into the history and significance of the Jubilee Year, its spiritual implications, and how it serves as a beacon of hope for Christians. We will discuss how this special time encourages renewal, reflection, and a deeper connection with our faith.

Continue to visit our website, app, and bulletin for the most up to date information regarding the Year of Prayer and the Jubilee Year and their events. Should you have any questions, contact us at the Parish Office.

2024 Alzheimer Drive
Oct 26 @ 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

At this time of the year many Knights councils in NJ conduct a ‘Shake the Can’ drive to support Alzheimer’s victims and their caregivers.  Monies are collected, consolidated by the State KOFC and distributed.

Past Grand Knight Dr. Ciro Scilingo coordinates our effort annually.

We are planning our Annual Alzheimer’s Fund  for Sat. Oct 26th weather permitting.  We usually do 2 hour shifts starting at 8am till 6pm but even if you can only do 1 hour we can use your help !

If you can help us with this worthy cause (8-10, 10-12, 12-2, 2-2, or 4-6)
please contact me by email, phone (201-664-8359) or TX (201-321-3381).
I prefer the phone or TEXT message because sometimes the email goes
to spam and is missed.

Thank you all in advance for your help
Sincerely,
Ciro
